Shettleston Housing Association commissioned Ailsa to carry out refurbishment works to the gable at 577 Old Shettleston Road prior to the Commonwealth Games starting.

Blockwork was built, holes infilled, insulation fixed and a lightweight render applied over the whole area to enable it to receive a mural of a Giraffe carried out by Guido of Artpistol

The area in front of the gable was levelled and topsoiled and turfed.

The effect is dramatic and we hope it is appreciated by all long after the games are over.

We are delighted to have been appointed by Shettleston HA to carry out this work.
